First Microscope
The first microscope was found by Zacharias Jansen.
He found that he could put two lense together to make things look a lot bigger. -
Robert Hooke
Mr.Hooke was born on July 28th and died on March 3rd 1703.
He invented the Law of Elasticity in 1660, also know as Hooke's Law in. -
Antony Van Leewwenhoek
Leewenhoek was born on October 24th in 1632 and died on August 26th 1727. He discoverd micrscopes and single-celled organisms and bacteria in 1676. -
Matthias Scleiden
Scleiden was born on April 5th 1804 and died on June 23rd,1881. Scleiden helped found the cell theory for plants in 1838. -
Theodor Schwann
Theodor was December 7th 1810 and died Januray 11th , 1882
In 1839, he extended Schleiden's cell theory to animals, stating that all living things are composed of cells. He believed that new cells form principally outside pre-existing cells. -
Rudolf Virchow
Virchow was born in October 13th,1821 and died on september 5th 1902.He had a input in the cell theory to explain the effects of disease in the organs and tissues of the body. -
Electron Microscope
In 1928 Ernst Ruska and Max Knoll made a crude electron microscope which magnified objects only to 17 times there acutal size.
