Alan Turing
Allan turning was a renowned computer scientist and engineer who made major breakthroughs. He created the Turing Machines which were some of the first computers. He contributed greatly to the second world war where he helped to decrypt german codes and by Churchills words he shortened the war by 2 years. -
Microprossesors
The first micro-sized CPU ( Central Processing unit) 4004 was created in 1971 by intel which is one of the biggest creators of CPU in modern day society. This rapidly speeded up a lot of innovations as already 3 years later the intel's processor 8008 made its appearance in the first consumer available compute. -
WWW andFirst web site
While working at CERN in 1990 English computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee created the Web. He introduced URLs and the online programming language known as HTML. People continue to use these technologies to operate and access millions of websites. During the same year, Berners-Lee developed the original Web browser and established the world’s first website. His contributions made the Internet far more useful for people without extensive technical training. -
Hyperthreading
In 2002, Intel revolutionized another aspect of computer processing through hyper-threading. In each processor there are a number of cores and hyperthreading parallelized computing of multiple tasks. Essentially it enables simultaneous processing by creating a virtual processor for the second set of tasks. This means that they created a 2 way highway instead of just a one way one.
