Hitler orders his German Nazis to execute the Jewish race. This is also known as the night of broken glass, and marks the begining of the Halocaust and herding of Jews into concentration camps. -

Japan bombed the United State's coast Pearl Harbor, destroying billions of dollars of naval ships and equiptment, and killing many. Not long after the United States entered WW2. -

The United States invaded the Russian coast to help defeat the Germans. This is arguably the turning point of WWII. -

It was discovered that Nazi Germany was holding Jews in concentration and death camps in an attempt to execute the entire race. Approximately 6 million people were killed. Among the Jews were also the physcally handicapped, gypsies, homosexuals, and many others. -

Jackie Robinson becomes the first African-American to join the major leagues in baseball. He played for the Dodgers and opened the world to race unification. -
Help in Korea
The U.S.A sends troops to Soth Korea to help defend from the attacking communist North Korea. After severel years the Americans left, leaving Korea separated as it was prior to the war: Communism in the North, and Democracy in the south. -
Sputnik
The USSR launches "Sputnik" the first satelite to be sent into space. The space race between the United States and Russia has begun. -

Yuri Gagarin becomes the first man to enter space. He was sent by the Russians and made history when he left the atmosphere. -

The U.S. surgeon general reveals to the world that smoking is unhealthy and leads to death. Since this enlightenment, smoking percentage in the U.S. has decreased but not completely gone away. -
Death of a King
After leading a civil rights movement in the United States, Martin Luther King Jr. was assinated. King was shot and killed in Memphis, Tenn. -
Presidential Assasination
President John F. Kennedy was assasinated in California. He was shot and killed during a parade in his presidential car. -
Man on the Moon
After severel years of a "space race" with the Soviet Union, America achieves the impossible and sends men to the moon. Neil Armstong becomes the first man to walk on the moon. His words were "One small step for man, one giant leap for man-kind". -

Bill Gates and Paul Allen begin the "Microsoft" program. This later leads to the development of the Internet. -
The Challenger
73 seconds after take off the Space ship, Challenger, exploded, killing all the crew members on board. It disentigrated over the Atlantic Ocean, and no peices were found. -

An explosion occured in Chernybol, a nuclear plant. THere is an estimated total of 7,000 deaths, and a series of human mutations and birth effects that followed. -
