The Otsutsuki clan travels throughout space and time to plant ten-tails saplings onto planets. They grow into God Trees, the roots spreading across the planet to to siphon chakra, the tree bearing a fruit for Otsutsuki to consume and evolve. A living Otsutsuki must be fed to the ten-tails to grow the tree. Kaguya was going to be sacrificed but wanted the fruit for herself and betrayed Isshiki.

While on Earth waiting for the God Tree to grow, Kaguya develops an attachment to the planet she is meant to destroy and falls for Tenji, an emperor from So no Kuni (Land of Ancestors), a small country from a millenium ago.

When the God Tree grows it's fruit, she consumes it and uses the power to cast Infinite Tsukuyomi on those she believes are fueling violence to end the constant war on Earth between clans and small countries. She is viewed as a benevolent deity.

Foreseeing the consequences of consuming the fruit against her clans wishes, she converts the victims into an army of White Zetsu in fear of the clan returning to take her chakra, and the humans view her as the Demon

Kaguya becomes even more power hungry and attempts to consume her children's massive chakra reserves. Using her godly abilities gained from staying on a planet, she summons the Ten Tailed Beast and fuses with it.

Kaguya created a parasitic lifeform containing her will, Black Zetsu to find a way to revive her.

The monster terrorised the world until Hagoromo and Hamura sealed it with their Six Paths — Chibaku Tensei, thus creating the Moon. The Ten-Tails' chakra was sealed into Hagoromo while its husk, the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, was hidden away and sealed on the Moon, in order to prevent the Ten-Tails' revival. Before being sealed, Kaguya created a parasitic lifeform containing her will, Black Zetsu to find a way to revive her.

Leaving leadership of the Earth's Otsutsuki clan to Hamura, he decreed that the clan would stand guard over the Demonic Statue. Hagoromo and his brother's direct bloodline stayed on Earth, the latter which inherited the Byakugan and became the Hyūga clan, while Hamura migrated the clan to the moon, maintaining order and stability with the power of his Tenseigan.

Believing chakra was a power that linked everything in the world, Hagoromo set out to spread the message to the people of the land, during which his teachings became known as ninshū. However, 45% of people cannot be in touch with their Chakra directly, 20% whose are slight stronger, and finally 35% who can become directly in contact with their Chakra. 100% of people can have reserves ranging from minuscule to monstrous.

Towards the end of his life, he divided his chakra into the nine tailed beasts, his way of ensuring that the Ten-Tails and thus Kaguya would never be reborn. Due to he and his brothers seal being very powerful, he cannot split the Ten Tails, and decides to split his own chakra to create beings that can battle the Ten Tailed beast.

Before Hagoromo died, he passed over his eldest son, Indra, and entrusted his mission of peace to his youngest son, Asura. Black Zetsu manipulated Indra's jealousy toward Asura. Having spent the remainder of his life overlooking Earth, Hamura entrusted his Ōtsutsuki clansmen with a celestial degree watching over humanity before his passing.

When they battle due to Black Zetsu and die, war seems to break out again as humans return to their true nature of violence between eachother. a period of unrest is bestowed upon the Earth.

While living in a temple in the forests of the Land of Fire, Kurama gained a fearsome reputation as a natural disaster that can desolate areas where the darkest aspects of human nature collect and fester. One day, when some villagers attempt to ignite the beast to create civil conflict in the Land of Fire, Kurama is angered and destroys a giant portion of the Land of Fire, killing many.

The Uzumaki clan who were revered by chakra wielders for their immense amount of chakra but also renowned for inventing sealing techniques stepped forward to confront the monstrous threat. In a desperate gambit to contain the nine tailed beast Kurama, they managed to imprison her within the body of one of their own.

The Uzumaki were an incredibly powerful clan who often allied with the Chikara and Hasegawa. Due to fear from regular people and chakra users alike, they decided to form a country to protect themselves and not live as figures of uncontainable power. It started as a small collection if islands east of the Land of Fire, but it became so large it engulfed nearly half of the Earth.

The Land of Fire starts to grow weary when Uzushio gains charge of the east lands and the islands next to the Land of Fire.
