Commercial Manufacturing began under the name "Dewar Flask".
This lead to the product being a significant tool for scientists around the world. -

Rienhold Burger (A glass blower for Dewar flasks) And his partner Albert Ascenbrenner developed a household flask with a metal casing. -
Contest
There was then a contest held to come up with a better name for the product. 'Thermos', was the winning name. -
World wide Advancing
William Walker learned of the product, and began selling it in the United States. -
