Charactorization for Jack
Indirect: "I look like a poster boy on steriods" (pg 181 Chima) This shows that after his training Jack is ripped with muscle. I can infer that this is what he means using my backround knowledge on poster boy's and steriods Direct: "Jack felt more confident now. " (pg 129 Chima) This quote from the text directly states that Jack feels more confident after he trained with his coach Hastings. -
Characterization for Ellen
Direct: "You have alot more control than I do." (375 pg Chima)
This quote directly shows the reader that Ellen is rambunctious and that she does not have control over her power.
Indirect: "He jerked a thumb at Ellen." (409pg Chima) She always killed everyone." This quote shows that Ellen is mercyless. I can infer this because usually when a person commits a murder multiple times that they are merciless.
