  • The Inquiry

    The Inquiry
From May 2nd an Inquiry was held to determine the cause of the terrible loss of life. This contained two key aspects; reasons the ship did not stay afloat including the ship's speed, design, and why the iceberg was not avoided after so many warnings) ; and reasons so many lost their lives (including too few life boats, lifeboats not being filled, and the unsafe emergency exits for middle and lower classes). This Inquiry was held to ensure that nothing like this tragedy would happen again.
