They invited everyone, and every god except Eris, the Goddess of Discord.Because of her not getting an invitation, she decided to throw a golden apple into the wedding. On the apple said, "For The Fairest." Zeus could not choose between Aphrodite, Athena, or Hera as to who would get the apple. -

Odysseus and Achilles both don't want to join the army. Odysseus tried to act insane, and got caught. Achilles pretended to be a woman and got caught. Sending them both into the army. -

The Fight Over Chryseis
Agamemnon and Achilles had received the young women Chryseis and Briseis as prizes of war or war brides. -

Odysseua gives back Chryseis
Agamemnon enslaves her, and he admits she is finer than his own wife. He won her as a prize. He refuses to allow her father, a priest of Apollo, to buy her. An oracle of Apollo then sends a plague sweeping through the Greek armies, and Agamemnon is forced to give Chryseis back. So Agamemnon sends Odysseus to return Chryseis to her father. Agamemnon compensates himself for this loss by taking Briseis from Achilles, and it offended Achilles, and now he refuses to take further part in the War, -

The Gods are now choosing
Zeus favors the Trojans. He sends a lying dream to Agamemnon. The dream, which takes the shape of Nestor, explains that Hera has brought all the other gods on board, that the city will soon be captured, and that the Achaians must attack immediately, in full force. -

Menelaus battles Paris
Paris and Menelaus arm themselves and begin their duel. Menelaus breaks his sword over Paris’s helmet and tthen grabs Paris by the helmet and begins dragging him through the dirt, but Aphrodite, an ally of the Trojans, snaps the strap of the helmet so that it breaks off in Menelaus’s hands. Menelaus then retrieves his spear and is about to drive it home into Paris when Aphrodite whisks Paris away to his room in Priam’s palace. -

The Trojan Horse
Odysseus constructed a huge wooden horse, and hid a selected force of men inside. They then pretended to sail away, and the Trojans pulled the horse into their city as a victory trophy. That night the Greeks crept out of the horse and opened the gates for the rest of the Greek army, which had sailed back under cover of night. The Greeks entered and destroyed the city of Troy, surprisingly ending the war.
