Aphrodite promises Paris the most beautiful woman in the world Helen. Paris goes to collect what was promised to him in Sparta. Paris waits for Menelaus, Helens husband, to leave and takes helen back to troy with him so that he can marry her. -

Menelaus is outraged when he finds out that Paris took Helen from him. Helens suitors vowed to protect her honor and to fight along side her husband. -

Under Agamemnon's order the greek fleet assemblked but couldnt go anywhere since the seas were calm. Agamemnon either killed on of Diana's sacred stags or made a careless boast causing Diana to calm the ocean until Agamemnon sacrificed his daughter. -

Trouble finding Troy
Fonding Troy proved to be a difficult task for Agamemnon.The Greek fleet landed in Mysia, suspecting that Teuthranians had helped take Helen the greek fleet layed seige to the city. During the battle Achilles wounded the teuthrenian king Telephus. An oracle told Telephus that only Achilles could cure him but Achilles would not do so unless he told them where troy was located. -

Telephus had aqquired intel from an oracle who told him he would have to be healed by the same person who wounded him to begin with. Achille's agreed with the exception that Telephus reveal the location of Troy. -

Menelaus' atempt to resolve the issue
Odysseus and Menelaus we're sent to Troy to see Priam. When they both arrived they demanded Priam to return Helen and their stolen treasure. Priam refused. Odysseus and Menelaus return to the greek fleet with the news that a war is innevitable. -

The Negative Effects of War
Achille's was killed by Paris. Although Odysseus captures Priam's son Helenus it caused them to have more issues to deal with. Helenus told Odysseus that Troy would not be conquered unless Achille's son Pyrrhus fought in the war, the Greeks needed to use Hercule's bow and arrow's, the remains of Pelop's needed to be brought to Troy, and finally that a statue of Athena named Palladium had to be to be stolen. -

The End of War
Brilliant Odysseus ordered a giant hollow wooden horse to be made by the artist Epeius. This giant horse would be able to fit soldiers in it so when the time is right they can abruptely attack the sleeping Tropjan's.
