    The Origin of the iPad
Apple workers started toying around with the idea of an iPad as early as 2002. On January 27, 2010, Apple announced the first iPad ever. It was only 0.5 inches thick and weighed 1.5 pounds. The A4 chip provided access to the internet. It costed $499.

  • The iPad 2

    The iPad 2
Next came the iPad 2 on March 11, 2012. It had a new A5 chip. The original apps installed include Safari, Mail, Messages, Photos, FaceTime, Newsstand, App Store, iTunes, Videos, Maps, Music, Game Center, Photo Booth, Clock, Contacts, Reminders, Calendar, Notes, and Camera. People love that the iPad 2 has a thinner and lighter design, but there has been no screen improvement from the first iPad.

Unfortunately, this iPad was discontinued only months after it was released.
  • The iPad 3/The New iPad

    The iPad 3/The New iPad
The iPad 3 (Technically called “the new iPad”) was released on March 16th, 2012. It is the first iPad with Retina Display. Compared to the iPad 2, the iPad 3 is heavier yet faster, has a better display, and has a greater definition. People loved it’s superb interface and stunning screen. It has the best app and AV stores. People didn’t like that the camera is still awkward to use and it’s not a huge leap from the iPad 2.
  • The iPad Mini

    The iPad Mini
The iPad Mini was released on November 2, 2012. As it’s name suggests, it’s the smallest iPad Apple has created. It has a 7.9 screen size, while the iPad 4, (the iPad with Retina Display) it’s twin, (they were released on the same day) has a 9.7 screen size. People love it’s faster processor, improved FaceTime camera, and it’s UK compatible 4G connectivity. (Don’t ask me what that is)

People don’t like the iPad Mini’s reduced battery life and that it came out too soon.
