The neighbors to the people of the Plymouth Colony were Native Americans called the Wampanoag. Once the Pilgrims and Native Americans became friends, they learned to share (trade) food and clothes. -
Thanksgiving
The Pilgrims had a big dinner because they had done a good job of growing food by themselves. They invited the Native Americans every year, making it a tradition called Thanksgiving.
