3 endangered sea turtles, two male and one female, are the first animals to inhabit the Texas State Aquarium. -

Aquarium celebrates its 15 year anniversary
The 15th year anniversary of the aquarium was a special one. It marked a milestone for the history of the aquarium and served as an example and basis for large improvements to come in the future. -
Aquarium celebrates its 20 year anniversary
The aquarium has a “public birthday party celebration.” From the opening of the aquarium to its 20th anniversary, over 9 million people had visited and the aquarium had doubled in size. -
Aquarium celebrates its 25 year anniversary
At its 25th anniversary, the aquarium had a presentation during the dolphin show, including many founders and important heads of departments. Since the day of the opening in 1990, the aquarium has had almost 12 million visitors and added many exhibits.
