    Catherine of Aragon married King Henry VIII who had just ascended the throne at the age of 18. She was 23. He was able to marry her because her marriage to Arthur Prince of Wales wasn't consumated. He died shortly after their marriage. Allowing her to marry Prince Harry soon to be King Henry VIII.

    Catherine of Aragon (Henry VIII's (First Wife))

    Catherine of Aragon was born on December 16, 1485. She was the daughter Queen Isabella of Castille and King Ferdinand II of Aragon. She married Prince Arthur of Wales; son of King Henry VII in 1501. He died 5 months later and she married Henry VIII in 1509.
    Catherine of Aragon and Henry VIII were married for 20 years. She produced only one living child; Mary Tudor. Henry divorced her and sent her away so he could marry Anne Boleyn. She died in Kimbolton Castle on January 7th, 1536.

    Anne Boleyn (Henry VIII's (Second Wife))

    Anne Boleyn was born around 1501 and she was executed on May 19th, 1536. Anee Boleyn was the daughter Thomas Boleyn and Elizabeth Howard. Her younger sister Mary Boleyn had been King Henry VIII's mistress but he discarded her for Anne. Anne Boleyn had originally fallen in love with Henry Percy, 5th Earl of Northumberland. Cardinal Wolsey forbade it. She exacted her revenge on him by seducing Henry VIII and marrying him. She had one child with him; Princess Elizabeth.

    After King Henry VIII divorced Catherine of Aragon he married Anne Boleyn on May 23rd, 1533. Their marriage was considered valied on May 28th, 1533 after Catherine of Aragon testified and claimed she had not had any physical relations with her first husband Arthur but her plea was overruled.

    Mary Tudor (Mary I)

    Mary Tudor was born February 18th, 1516. Her mother was Queen Catherine of Aragon and her father was King Henry VIII. Mary was a very intelligent child but also very cold. She lost her mother at the age of 9 and was moved to Wales. She married Prince Phillip I of Spain enabling her accession to the throne. She gave birth to a stillborn son and because of her Catholic faith she persecuted many Protestants.

    Jane Seymour had been courted by King Henry VIII while he was still married to Anne Boleyn. He married Jane on May 20th, 1536 one day after Anne Boleyn's execution. She gave birth to King Henry's only legitimate son Edward VI on Oct 12th, 1537.

    Jane Seymour (Henry's VIII's (Third Wife))

    Jane Seymour was the daughter of Sir John Seymour and Margery Wentworth. She was born sometime around 1507 or 1508 and she later became a lady to Queen Anne Boleyn. her coronation as Queen was on May 30th 1536 tens day her marriage to King Henry VIII and 12 days after Anne Boleyn's execution. She gave birth to a son and died soon after on October 24, 1537. It is thought that Henry VIII really loved her because he wore black and wouldn't marry anyone for three years.

    Anne of Cleves married Henry VIII on January 6th, 1540. The marriage was doomed from the start. Henry found her hideous and historians claimed that he would not touch her. Henry filed for an anullment because he had not consumated the marriage. She was only Queen of England for three days, from January 6th, 1540 to January 9th, 1540. She later became one of King Henry VIII's closest friends and earned a home in England.

    Anne of Cleves (Henry VIII's (Fourth Wife))

    Anne of Cleves was the German daughter John III the Duke of Cleves and Maria Duchess of Cleves. She was orignally promised to the son of the Duke of Lorraine at the age of 10 but the engagement was cancelled. Henry was sent a portait by the artist of Hans Holbein the Younger. He picked her instead of her sister Almalia. Henry VIII met Anne in Rochester and he boldly tried to kiss her but she didn't recognize him and pushed him away. After this he claimed to find her repulsed by her.

    Catherine Howard was married to King Henry VIII on July 28th, 1540 almost immediently after King Henry VIII had his marriage annulled with Anne of Cleves. She was soon beheaded for having an affair with a younger and much more handsome man.

    Catherine Howard was born in 1523 to Lord Edmund Howard and Joyce Culpeper. She and Anne Boleyn were cousins. Catherine's uncle The Duke of Norfolk found her a place in court after hearing rumours of her sexual illasions with her step-grandmother's secretary. Henry VIII was seduced by her beauty and married her on July 28th,1540 and executed her on November 23rd, 1541 because she had an affair with Thomas Cullpepper.

    Catherine Parr was the last of King Henry's six wives and was married five times. Henry VIII was her third husband. Catherine Parr married Henry VIII on July 10th, 1543. Henry VIII died on January 28th, 1548. Her stepson Edward VI soon became king.

    Catherine Parr was born around 1512 and died giving birth to her daugher by her last husband; Seymour, on September 5, 1548. Catherine was born a Catholic but became a Protestant. She married King henry on July 10th, 1543. The Catholic Church tried to turn King Henry VIII against her but they soon reconciled. Six months after King Henry's death, Catherine Parr married Seymour of Sudeley. She became pregant at 35 but Seymour was more interested in Elizabeth, King Henry's daughter.

    Edward was the son of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour. He ascended the throne on January 28th, 1547 but died July 6th, 1553 at the at of 16.

    Edward VI was born on October 12, 1537 to Jane Seymour who died a few weeks later. He was the only legitimate son of Henry VIII. He was considered a healthy baby but he fell ill at the age of 16 and died soon after.

    Mary Tudor was the daughter of King Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon. After her parents marriage disolved she was named illegitimate. She became Queen after Edward VI's death at the age of 16. Her reign was from July 19th, 1553 to November 17th, 1558

    Elizabeth I was the daughter of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. She was proclaimed a 'bastard' quickly because of Henry's hatred for Anne Boleyn. She became Queen after Mary I's death on November 17th, 1558. She died on March 24th, 1603.

    Queen Elizbeth's reign was a troubled but also great one. She saved England from a Spanish Armada and helped to open trade throughout the eatern world, She had many lovers, she loved the arts (fan of Shakespeare), and she loved fashion. Before she died she planned to give her throne away to a Scottish King, King James VI.
