Social Security Act
Provided welfare funds for the elderly and the impoverished and established a pension program in addition to monetary settlement for the deceased and remove the elderly from the workforce giving jobs to the unemployed. (relief) -

Strengthened the power of the Federal Reserve to monitor banking. It's important because it helped the public get what they wanted and created a trust of banks in people. (reform)
