Nine negro teenagers on their way to Memphis Tennessee by train got into a fight with white men. After the fight two women by the names of Victoria Price and Ruby Bates claimed to have been raped by the teenagers during the fight. -

Lynchful Crowd
The nine negros were almost lynched (killed) by a crowd of 100 people that had gathred out side the scottsboro jail where they were being held. -
The First Case
at 8:30 a.m the frist trial of the scottsboro boys incident was held in Scottsboro, Alabama. A crowd of thousands gathred outsde and arount the courthouse they chreered as they learned what the verdict was, The Death Penalty. -
2nd and 3rd cases
Two trials were help this day one for 18 year old Haywood Patterson, Olin Montgomery, Andy Wright, Eugene Williams, Willie Robeson and, Ozie Powell were all given the death penalty -
The 4th case
14 year old Roy Wright was caught in a mistrial at his trial becuase one of the jury members wanted life imprisonment instead of deciding to sentence him to death. -
NAACP Representation
the National association for the advancement of colored people and the international labor defence fought to represent and help then in court. -
Rape?
Ruby Bates, one of the women that claimed to have been raped on the train with Victoria Price denide that she was raped in a letter. -

The suprime cout rules that the scotts boro boys were restriced to council that violated their 14th amendment rights. the cases were given to the lower courts. -
Postponed trials
Thye Trails of the Scottsboro boys is postponed by judge Horton becuase of high tention in the public. -
Bribing
Lawyers from the International Labor Defence attempted to bribe Victoria Price to chage her accounts on the alleged rape. -
The death of Ozzie Powell
Ozzie Powell, one of the scottsboro boys is shot in the head after he attacked deputy Sheriff Edgar Blalock and is rushed to the hospital. -

Eugene Williams, Olen Montgomery,Willie Roberson, and Roy Wright have their cases all dropped against them. -
The last one standning dies
the last living Scottsboro boy, Clarence Norris dies -
Legislative Pardon
The govenor of Alabama, Robert Bentley signs legislative that pardons all of the scotts boro boys after all of them have passed away many years before -
