    The Russo- Japanese War
    In the 1800's, Russia and Japan fought over Korea and Manchuria. Both of the nations would make up many agreements over the territories. Russia betrayed the agreements. In return, Japan decided to attack Manchuria in 1904, which led to war. The Russo- Japanese War is considered to be part of a revolution because at the end of the war, change did occur. Japan did take over the territory of Manchuria and Korea, those countries were now apart of Japan at the time.

    Bloody Sunday: The Revolution of 1905
    200,000 workers marched to czar's Winter Palace in St.Petersburg. They had a petition demanding better working conditions. The soldiers fired on the crowd, injuring thousands and killing hundreds. After this tragic event, strikes and violence spread across the country. Nicholas II decided change need to occur even though he opposed of it, making Bloody Sunday a revolutionary event. He promised freedom and approved the Russian parliament.

    Nicholas II dragged Russia into World War I. Russia was not prepared for the military and economic costs. Russians were nothing compared to the Germans. With the Germans using the machine gun, it killed Russians by thousands and made them very weak. With World War I, it showed czar's weakness of rule and military leadership. The War made change with everything from the homefront. There was food and fuel shortages. Prices on many good increased greatly. Soldiers were even ignoring orders.

    Rasputin was a "holy man" that claimed the have magical healing powers. He was able to take the symptoms away from Nicholas's son. In 1916 nobles murdered Rasputin because they feared is role in the government affairs due to Alexandra letting him take part in political decisions. SInce Rasputin had power form Czar, after being killed, it takes power away from Czar- making it a revolutionary event.

    March Revolution
    Women textile workers marched to the city to be apart of a citywide strike. More riots started after the shortages of bread and fuel. Soldiers were at first shooting at the crowds, but later on changed their minds and ended up joining the rioters. 200,00 people swarmed the streets. After the March Revolution made big change in Russia. It made Czar step down from his throne, losing all of his power.

    The March Revolution made Czar step down from his throne. Revolutionaries executed Czar and his family. The march revolution succeed to throwing czar out of reign. With Czar stepping down, made the soviets in charge of the government , conditions in Russia got worse, and war continued to drag on; making this a revolutionary event due to all of the changes.

    Lenin Returns to Russia
    The Germans thought Lenin and the Bolshevik's supporters would do something that would hurt the Russian war. They have planned Lenin's return for many years. He returned to Russia in April 1917. Once Lenin returned, he got all the power and control over the soviets and made the civilians think that the soviets should have all the power, leading to the Bolshevik's Revolution. (reason why it is a revolutionary event)

    Civil War in Russia
    Civil War broke out in Russia between 1918-1920. It was the White Army against Bolshevik's red Army. The White Army was made up of different groups- people who supported the return of Czar and others who wanted a democratic government. At a point during the war, it was 3 White Armies against 1 Red Army due to disagreements. Many Western nations came to help aid the White Army throughout the war. The Civil War lead to hunger, worldwide flu epidemic, and destruction and loss of fighting.
