A peaceful march led by a priest, that wanted freedom and justice. Which ended in many dying, because of the tsar calling in soldiers. People lost faith and trust in the tsar. -

Started after Bloody Sunday, because of all the discontent. Nicholas II was forced to make some reforms. But there was still much discontent. -
Russo-Japanese War
Russia wanted a place for is pacific fleet. And in 1904 Japan attacked their fleet. The war ended with Japan winning, Which didn't sit well for the Russians. -
Russia joins World War I
When Russia joined the war its resources were quickly strained. Eventually Nicholas II went to the front to help but it didn't help at all, and Russia failed miserably. -
Grigory Rasputin
Alexandra relied on him while Nicholas was at war. He gained controll of the government, and weakend the confidence in the government. -
The Abdication of the Tsar
Tsar Nicholas II had little choice but to abdicate, and the Menshevik government basically forced him out. Him leaving led to acomunist government led by Lenin. -
February Revolution
Started in response to World War I. It started by workers who were angered about war and the food shortage. -
November Revolution
Also know as the October Revolution was caused by food riots. Its when the Bolsheviks gained control of the government. -
Russia Ends Its Involvement in WWI
WWI gretaly strained Russias resources. The bolsheviks sign the treaty of Brest-Litovsk. Which ends Russian involvement in the war and gives Germany money land and resources from Russia. -

The whole Romanovs family was executed at Ekateringburg. -
Formation of the USSR
The USSR was formed during the Civil War. The Communist won control of Russia. And it divided into 3 republics. -
Russian Civil War
Started in 1918 and lasted untill 1922. It started becasue of the many groups that opposed the Bolsheviks. The ones who opposed the Bolsheviks were known as the whites and the Bolsheviks were known as the reds. -
Lenin's death and the Competition to Replace Him
Lenin led the Bolshevik takeover in Russia. And He was the first leader of the Soviet Union. His death resulted in Stalin and Trotsky competing for power.
