    1754- French And Indian War
    -This is a war between Britain and France caused by the argument of whether the upper Ohio River valley was a part of the British Empire or the French Empire.
    -The war provided Great Britain with enormous territorial gains in North America but left colonial disputes. There was just a lot of tension that ultimately led to The Revolutionary War
  • 1763- The Royal Proclamation

    1763- The Royal Proclamation
    -The Royal Proclamation prohibited American colonists from settling west of the Appalachian Mountains. it extended Georgia's southern border and gave land to soldiers who had fought in the Seven Years' War or the French And Indian War.
    -The Royal Proclamation caused colonists to be extremely angry towards Britain because this Royal Proclamation was forced on them and that made them very angry that they basically had no choice or say in this proclamation
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act
    • The sugar act is a tax on Sugar, Wine, Molasses, and Coffee. Molasses was important to New England Merchants since they bought the molasses to make rum to sell to the other colonies. This almost stopped the rum trade from New England.
    • This made the New England colonies protest. The taxing worried the leaders of the colonies. They feared Britain might be taking away power from the colonial governments
  • The Quartering Act

    The Quartering Act
    -This Act allowed British troops to stay in homes during the seven-year war.
    - This is obvious that it had caused a lot of conflicts because they are having soldiers staying in citizens' homes. I personally would not want a stranger staying in my house.
  • The Boston massacre

    The Boston massacre
    -The Boston Massacre was at first an accident then it turned into a slaughter. It started off as colonists throwing rocks at the British soldiers. The king had asked for one favor and that is not to shoot anybody. These orders were disobeyed when one of the soldiers had just had enough.
    -There was a total of 5 deaths and it may not seem like much but this was enough to start the war.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party
    -The Boston Tea Party was the first act of the rebellion. They threw all of the tea into the harbor.
    -This seems like a minor act but it was enough to throw the British over the edge and fight against the colonists.
  • The Deceleration Of Independence

    The Deceleration Of Independence
    -The Declaration of Independence was the first formal statement by a nation's people asserting their right to choose their own government. It basically made America free and independent.
    -This was what led to the beginning of the Revolutionary war
