Nazi Party is created
The nazi party was formed from the German Workers' Party in 1920. Hitler made an effort to make the workers party succeed. The party consisted of seven members. Hitler would prepare invitations for members to take home to their families to attend the monthly meeting,This is an imortant moment because there was a party to support Hitler. It made his hunger for power even worse. By febuary 24th, 1920, they had over 2000 people show up at a public meeting. -
Hitler is named leader of Nazi Party
Hitler was beginning to get better and better at speaking to large crowds.He had ordered two truckloads of party suppoters that were carrying Swastikas and leaflets. The Nazi Party was still run by an executive committee and the members did not like Hitlers acts. The executive committee backed down and Hitler demanded a vote. He won the vote 543-1. Hitler became the Führer of the party. This is an important moment because its when Hitler gained full control of the Nazi Party. -
Hitler on trial for treason
The trial of Adolf Hitler for treason from the aftermath of the Beer Hall Putsch wasn't end of Hitler's political career. Many had knew this. In just one night, Hitler became a nationally and internationally known person due to massive press coverage. Hitler admited to all of his crimes. Hitler was taken to an old prison in Landsberg. This is an important moment because its when Hitler got placed in prison. It gave him time to make plans and think about what he will do to gain full control. -
A new beginning
Hitler became free from prison a few days before christmas after being behind bars for 9 months. Hitler now knew not to try and overthrow the government. He had a new idea on how to becmoe the leader of Germany, it was playing by the democratic rules. The party was organized like a goverment so they could slip in when the old goverment was gone. This is an important moment because its when Hitler got back in track with his Nazi movement. Hitler could continue to proceed with his plans he had. -
Hitler's book, "Mein Kampf"
In the book Hitler is very discriminative and racist. He releases his thoughts on certian religions and types of people. He blames most things on the Jews. He describes how Jews and Aryans are stopping them from world domination. Hitler's revelations about the nature of himself and his "blueprint" for Germany's future served as a warning to the world. This is an important moment because hitler had all that time to build up his thoughts and plans. He released his opinions on his enemys. -
Germans elect Nazis
Hitler and his party help a huge campaign during 1930. Hitler traveled throughout Germany saying dozens of speeches and attending many meetings. Hitler used special ways of speech to convince his audience to why they should vote for him. He brainwashed his small catchphrases into their heads. On September 14, 1930, the Nazi party recieved 6,371,000 votes. This is an important moment because its how his party goes to the top. This gives Hitler more power, and makes him even closer to his goal. -
Hitler runs for president
Many people saw the Nazis as the future of Germany. After the party's success in 1930, thousands of new members had joined. Hitler got over 11 million votes and his opponent got over 18 million votes. The Nazi party was upset. Hitler ordered them to start an effective campaign for the run-off to be held on April 10. This is an important moment because he gains a lot more popularity by running for president. He got many votes so many new people had reconized that the Nazi party could heal Germany -
The republic collapses
In the spring of 1932, Germany's government believed the Nazis were about to take over by force. In april of 1932, Heinrich Bruening, the Chancellor of Germany issued a law in which all Nazis were banned all across Germany. Schleicher held a secret meeting with Hitler, which was a proposal. He stated that the ban would be lifted, and that the chancellor would be dumped. Hitler acceptepted. This is an important moment because it shows how that deal, got the law lifted, and dumped the Chancellor. -
Hitler named Chancellor of Germany
Hitler had spent his entire political attempting to destroy the Republic, and now he was its leader. Hitler demanded that they were to build the nation up from there. The German army even agreed to tear up the Treaty. The Nazi party celebrated Hitler's success on january 30th. In 1933, the Nazis made a plan to burn the Reichstag building and end democracy. This is an important moment because its when hitler becomes the Chancellor. Hitler gains much power and is very close to becoming dictator. -
Hitler becomes dictator of Germany
After Hitler became the chancellor, the Nazis soon began to takeover the government throughout Germany. Political targets were arrested and even put in concentration camps. Hitler developed a new law for himself so he has the power to make laws, control the budget and approve treaties with foreign governments. Now Hitler is the leader of Germany, he can begin what he wanted, the extinction of Jewish people. This is an important moment because its when he becomes the Führer and gets all the power
