Napoleon's greed led him to seek out even more land he could potentially conquer. He was set on taking control over Russia. He went about this by placing troops at Russia's western border. By June of 1812, Napoleon was in Russia, ready to invade. Napoleon's overconfidence in himself led him to think he could easily conquer Russia rather quickly. By October,he decided to retreat due to low supplies.he was caught in the russian winter and only 94,000 of his 600,000 troops survived.

Directly after Napoleon's defeat in Russia,he decided to make a new army. This made him vulnerable to his enemies and they decided to take this opportunity to attack. All of his enemies came together in Germany and quickly defeated France. When Napoleon surrendered, his enemies forced him to give up his title and move his empire to the island of Elba and never come back.
