Louis XIV had the longest reign in history. He reigned for 72 years. He had supreme control of everything- known as absolutism, He was called the sun king because people surrounded him all day. -

A mob marched to the Bastille which was a prison because they were angry and their plan was to storm in and free any prisoners in their and kill anyone who got in their way. Even though it housed only about 7 prisoners it became a symbol of the beginning of the French Revolution, -

It was a period of panic and riot by the peasants and the third estate because of rumors frrom the first estate. -
Women march to versailles
Women were outraged because they had no bread to feed there children and they were hungry and sick and tired of the way things were being run so they marched all the way to Versailles to demand for bread and force the king and queen to come to Paris. -
Louis XVI execution
Louis XVI was executed by guillotine in front of the general public. After being tried for treason he was found guilty by almost all but not everyone and was sentenced to death. He was considered the first victim of the Reign of Terror.
