    After the release of smartphones, teachers were skeptical of having technology, such as tablets, in the classroom; however, these tablets served as an educational tool that not only engaged students, but motivated them as well. Using the tablets and gaining access to educational apps, academic resources and other useful tools presented improvement in students learning abilities. This was the education system taking a big step into the technological world.

    After the success of having tablets in the room, problems began to arise as iPads were restricted to limited software and applications. The switch to Chromebooks provided teachers and students flexibility to much more content, apps and tools they couldn't access previously. This was a major adjustment for both teachers and students due to the structure of the classroom shifting to a more "tech-friendly" environment.

    Google innovated the classroom by creating, "Google Classroom." Now teachers have the ability to manage/run their classes online, with features such as: creating curriculums, distributing and grading assignments. By 2015, it was estimated over 10 million students and teachers were using it. Teachers benefited as they saved precious time giving more focus to student learning. This apps success greatly impacted the educational system.

    Augmented Reality E-Book Introduced:
    An augmented reality platform designed to turn paper books into an e-book. Users can use this platform to create, publish and distribute interactive e-books. It also has an enhanced learning feature that allows users to see, hear and even take part in some content. Engaging its users in a unique way. This allowed for students to show creativity and share much more content at a convenience.

    PLA or Predictive Learning Analytics:
    Using data from the past, this software is able to predict learning behaviors and minimize risk of failure. It can also make predictions on new data, based off of the past. It allows teachers to see if a student is at risk of falling behind and allows for a support team to help these students from falling behind. It is a great tool improving the teachers ability to track their students success.

    2020 was a shock to the entire world, but specifically, the educational system. Schools were now forced to transition to online classes with people having to stay home. If it wasn't for the rapid advancement of technology and creating online educational apps, the educational system would have struggled. Now with these apps improving and new ones being created, we are at a new beginning of Online Education.

    In an already fast-changing world, the advancements of technology is supposed to accelerate in some areas in due time. Now that students can access to these online universities, platforms and programs worldwide, the ability to achieve academic growth and development is greatly improved. Over 10 million people in the United States are enrolled as online students. The convenience of these online programs will increase the number of students with 4 year degrees by 2030.
