    Lower Canada had a cholera epidemic it was brought by British and Irish immigrants who landed at Quebec. The disease killed nearly 5 thousand people.

    A fight between Canadian and English speaking voters during the election for the assembly. British soldiers were called in to stop a fight and shot three Canadians.

    The governor made sure a party he like won, not the reform party won the majority of seats.

    The reform party who wanted a more democratic government won a majority of seats in the elected assembly in Upper Canada.

    In the final battle of the rebellion British troops and Canadian patriots fought.

    The Government tries to arrest patriot leaders, including Papineau. They escaped to country side, days later the patriotes won a battle against British troops at St.Denis.

    British troops defect patriot fighters at Saint Charles.

    Papineau granted Amnesty.
