    The fight

The fight began with Hazem going to his friends neighbors house to break up a fight they overheard while watching cricket. Instead the fight was onto Hazem when he had come with the right intentions. Hazem thought that he finally had escaped the violence of his home country, however, seeing the circumstances and situations that he was put into in Australia, he had felt as though he had been re-experiencing his past. "i wasn't sure how i was going to escape this trap."

    LAKEMBA

As of visiting the suburb of Lakemba, Hazem and his family had felt like they were back in Lebanon, due to the familiar setting of the suburb. Though, the difference here was that they were in peace and felt like they belong, however, in the streets of Lebanon there was violence, bombings and ongoing political torment. "strolling without fear or concern."

    Restrain

Due to living in a predominantly white and Christian society, it is usually difficult to refrain from activities and social behavior that is normal to non-Muslims. However, Hazem was able to keep himself away from these sorts of inappropriate behaviors even when those around him were doing things like that. "i wasn't interested, as it went against my beliefs."
  • The Struggle

After migrating to Australia Hazem and his family had not only gone through their personal struggles of moving to a completely new country, but they had to take on the hardships of other extended family members. "Dad had to not only feed the family but also pay the bills and repay the loans we had form extended family in Australia"
