Robert M. La Follette
Republican Robert M. La Follette led the way in regulating big business. He servd three terms as governor before he entered the U.S Senate in 1906. La Follette's major target was the railroad industry. He taxed railroad property at the same rate as other business property. -

Henry Ford
Henry Fod reduced the workday to eight hours and paid workers five dollars a day to keep automobile workers happy. Ths attracted thousands of workers but they exhuasted themselves.
