In 1842, a slightly larger group of 100 pioneers made the 2,000-mile journey to Oregon. -

In 1843, 1,000 men, women, and children climbed aboard their wagons out of the small town of Elm Grove, Missouri. -
The Trail Begins
A thousand pioneers head West on the Oregon Trail. -
Increasing the Party
The migration in 1845 jumped to nearly 3,000 people. -
The Trail has ended
About 1859 or 1870, The Oregon Trail had came to an end.
