  • Civilian Conservation Corp

    Civilian Conservation Corp
    It was a program that was designed to help relieve some of the unemployment problems by giving young men the opportunity to help the environment and paying them for it (planting trees, building parks, etc). Part of the first New Deal.
  • Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA)

    Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA)
    Gave $500 million in Federal grants to state agencies across the United States in attempt to alleviate some of the financial burden caused by the depression. It was a relief effort and part of the first New Deal
  • National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA)

    National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA)
    A law passed by Congress that allowed the President to regulate industry to ensure fair wages and working conditions for the working class Americans, which was to help make sure another economic depression wouldn't hurt the working class nearly as much. This was a reform effort and part of the first New Deal.
  • Civil Works Administration

    This board created many temporary jobs for Americans (mostly unskilled young men) to build things, mostly. This was a relief effort to help some Americans get some work to be able to get back on their feet during the depression. Also part of the first New Deal.
  • Federal Housing Act (FHA)

    Federal Housing Act (FHA)
    It attempted to make mortgages and housing more affordable for working-class citizens. This was a relief effort and part of the first New Deal.
  • Resettlement Administration

    Resettlement Administration
    It helped those struggling financially due to the Depression to be relocated via government planning. It was a relief effort and part of the second New Deal.
  • Wagner Act (NLRB)

    Wagner Act (NLRB)
    This act gives workers the right to strike, to have trade unions, and just overall help those that are working for big companies. This was a reform effort and is part of the second New Deal
  • Social Security Act

    Social Security Act
    Benefits for people who are too old to work or have any health conditions that prevent them from working. This was a reform effort and part of the Second New Deal.
  • Soil Conservation Act

    Soil Conservation Act
    Governments were now allowed to pay farmers to reduce their amount of output as to prevent erosion. This was a reform effort and part of the Second New Deal.
  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

    This act set a minimum wage that workers needed to be payed, or else the place would get in trouble. This was a reform act and was part of the Second New Deal.
