The Black Death
Also known as the Black Plague, it was a deadly epidemic weakened the Feudal System and the Church of Europe. Was spread by infected fleas when the bit humans and regurgitated blood into the bite wound. Half of the Europe poulation was killed. Ended around 1350. -

The Great Schism
When the Church was divided into the Eastern and Western Christian Church. The Eastern beliving that the Western was corrupt. Ended around 1417. -
Charlemagne Empire
He expanded the Frankish Kingdom and eventually covered almost all of Western and Central Europe. Encouraged a revival of the art, religion, and culture with asistance from the Church. His reign ended in 1814 with his death. -
Treaty of Verdun
The three surviving sons of Louis the Pious caused a civil war when they all were fighting for the crown after their fathers death. Finally the Carolingian Empire was divided into three parts, one for each son, after this treaty ended the three years long civil war.
