    The romans cosiderated that all the peoples living beyond Roman borders were barbarians. This word meant "foreing" but also "savage" and "uncivilised". A few, like the Huns, wre of Asian decent while others, like the Germans, were from the north and east of Europe.
    In AD 395, the emperor Theodosius divided the Roman Empire into two halves:
    -The Western Roman Empire
    -The Eastern Roman Empire

    In the year 409,the Suevi, Alans and Vandals invaded the Península Ibérica. In 416, the Western Roman Emperor signed a pact with the Visigoths to expel the three invaliding groups fro Hispania.
    In 507, the Franks expelled the Visigoths from Gaul. The Visigoths returned and setted in the Península Iberíca.
