Henry takes the throne
He was born on June 28th 1491 to Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. At a young age he was appointed Constable of Dover Castle, Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, and given many other posistions of power. Henry was very well educated, but he wan't excepted to become king. His mother died when he was 11. His bother married Catherine of Aragon, but died shortly after. After his death Henry's father told him to marry Catherine. After his father's death Henry took the throne and married Catherine. -

Catherine of Aragon + Henry = Marriage
When she was three year old, she was betrothed to Arthur, the son of Henry VII of England. Arthur was not even quite two at the time. After the wedding in 1501. Less than six months later, Arthur died. About 8 years later Catherine married Henry VII. She and Henry had seven children, all but one (Mary) died. But Henry wanted a son because he wanted a "stronger" heir to the throne. So Henry wanted a divorce. -

She was the cebter of attention as a child and definatly Henry's favorite daughter. When Anne Boleyn gave birth to Elizabeth was declared a unsuitable child and Mary was made "The Lady Mary" -

The marriage of Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII
Henry had fallen in love wtih Anne while married to Catherine and they began to have an affair. She wasn't the prettiest women, Anne had a sixth finger and a large mole on her neck. In August 1533 she gave birth to princess Elizabeth. But she knew she needed to have a boy. So in 1535 she became pregnant agian but miscarried by the end of January. On May 2, 1536, Anne was arrested at Greenwich and was informed of the charges against her: adultery, incest and plotting to murder the King. -

Marriage of Jane and Henry
24 hours after the death of Anne Boleyn Jana and Henry were married. Henry thought she was his "true wife" and that she might bring him a son. As Henry wanted she delivered a son. -

Edward VI is Born
Edward was the son of John Neville. When his dad married Katherine Parr he was her stepson. Then when she left John Neville she was still close to her stepchildren, even when married to King Henry. She was also involved with Edwards education. When King Henry died Katherine trid to make Edward the King but this did not happen. Edward VI died 6 July 1553. -

It is belived that Jane had a c-section whch caused her to get sick, she died two weeks after her sons birth -

Save the date for the wedding of Anne of Cleves and Herny
The marriage was to secure a bond between France and England, but Henry didn't find her actractive and was looking for ways out of his marriage from the day it happened. She also didn't fit very well in his court. -

After the marriage dissolved Anne was made the kings honorary sister and given land. She attened her former step-daughters corrination and kept in touch with the family. -

Kathryn Howard married King Henry VIII
At age 19 she went to court as a lady in waiting and caught King Henry's eye. Kathryn's uncle then encouraged her to respond to the King thinking it would increase his influence over the monarchy. The marriage was taken advantage of by her famly to essentially get on the Kings good side.Kathryn was his 5th wife and was barely 19 while King Henry was 49. -

Kathryn Howard is Exacuted
One year after their marriage their were rumors of her infidelity. Kathryn also seeked company from another man closer to her age. At first King Henry didn't beleive this but with enough evidence it was proven true. She was exacuted on Feburary 13, 1542 and laid to rest in the Chapel of St. Peter ad Vincula at the Tower of London. -

Katherine Parr married to King Henry VIII
Katherine Parr’s first marriage was to Edward Borough,in1529 when she was 17 years old. Edward died only a few years later. Katherine’s second marriage was to John Neville. Katherine expressed her desire to marry Thomas Seymour after Latimer’s death, but the King’s request for her hand was one that Katherine felt it was her duty to accept. Katherine and Henry VIII were married on July 12th in the Queen’s closet at Hampton Court Palace in a small ceremony attended by about 20 people. -

Katherine Parr Died
After King Henry died Katherine married Thomas Seymour secretly. Katherine then was pregnant for the first time and in June 1548, on August 30th she gave birth to a daughter named Mary. She soon fell ill with puerperal fever, which was to claim her life in the morning hours of September 5th. -

Mary becomes Queen
Mary was made queen for short time, after her parents marriage was found invalid her posistion was taken away. Eventually, after the birth of Edward, Mary got her posistion back. Mary became great friends with Anne of Cleves, but hated Kathryn Howard. When her father fell ill Eward was made to be the next heir, but if he died childless, the throne went to Mary. Unfortunatly, Mary died died without leaving an heir so the throne went to Elziabeth. -

Queen Elizabeth
Elizabeth became Queen of England in 1558. Elizabeth immediately repealed the Catholic legislation introduced by Mary. Queen Elizabeth never married, gaining the name of the Virgin Queen. But she was linked to many suitors notably Robert Dudley and the young Earl of Essex. England prospered during the reign of Elizabeth and new lands were explored in the New World. While she was in power the Spanish Armada was defeated and England remained safe from foreign invasion. -

Mary dies
Mary dies leaving the throne to Elizabeth, who would change the English monarchy forever. -
Death of Elizabeth
Queen Elizabeth died of blood poisoning. Despite of the concerns King Henry VIII regaurding a female monarch, she is often referred to as the greatest of all England's Kings and Queens.
