  • Knights of Labor Founded

    Was a labor union lead by Terence V. Powderly. the union was formed to try and make a difference for the working man. It was important because it was the first major labor union.
  • Founding of the American Federation of Labor

    Was one of the frst federations for labor and was founded by Samuel Gompers and ex-knights of labor members. It is important because it was the largest union until the beginning of the 20th century
  • ILGWU is founded

    This Union waa once the largest union in the United States. It is important because this is the first time an Union's majority was manly female.
  • Strike!!

    ILGWU have a strike against their employers. this is important because they won increased pay wages and shorter work days
  • Fear of revolution

    more and more unions go on strike. this is important because there was fear of revolution amungst the unions.
  • Wagner Act

    The wagner act gave unions the right to organize. This is important because unions did not have to fear being arrested for striking.
  • Mass Unions

    Union membership is at an all-time high. this is important because it gave unions more pull and power.
  • Anti-Union

    More and more employers have made messures to exclude union members from jobs. this is important because this caused union members to leave thier unions.
