The first "Electrodynamic Loudspeaker" was a prototype created by C.W. Rice of General Electric and E.W. Kellogg of AT&T in May 1921, after constant trial and error by other engineers. Engineers such as Johann Philipp Reis, Alexander Graham Bell, Werner Von Siemens, and other different inventors. These loudspeakers were the first segway to the electronic speaker.

    Flat Panel Speakers
For a while after the Electrodynamic Loudspeaker was created inventors had been brainstorming how to make the size and the weight of speakers lower than their predecessor. Thus the idea of the "Flat Paneled" speaker gets its name. This form of speaker has a sheet of what is called "PET Foam" over the top of the speaker and all of the former technology is stripped down in a much smaller and more appealing fashion.

    "Pie" Speaker?
The "Piezoelectric" speaker uses an "expanding and contracting crystal to vibrate the air" this action makes frequencies that are perceived to create sound. Though they are able to replicate sound they do not have the elevated amount of frequencies that other larger speakers are able to reach. For this reason these speakers are only used in smaller appliances like watches, clocks, gift cards, and tweeters.

The Ribbon Driven speaker is a speaker that is amplified by the use of "aluminium foil film" which is more "durable". In this version inventors got rid of the transformer between the amplifier and the speaker itself. With the size of the speaker and the quality of the sound the world has grown to love Ribbon Driver speaker more than any other version of the speaker.
