Hoffman is credited to be the first to synthesize medically useful forms of Aspirin. The production of this revolutionary product can be resourced to Hippocrates written documents. By acetylating salicylic acid with acetic acid, he succeeded in creating acetylsalicylic acid in a chemically pure and stable form. This invention relieved pain and reduced fevers, much like Hippocrates origin theory. -
