First threshing machine
The first threshing machine was made by a Scottish mechanical engineer Andrew Meikle. Meikle was born in 1719 and died on the 27 November 1811. A threshing machine works by separating the grain from corn or other crops. -
Eli Whitney develops his cotton gin (a way to clean raw cotton).
Eli Whitney makes machine that makes it much easier to separate cotton seeds from cotton fiber. It reduce the time it takes to clean cotton and helps the southern states make more money from cotton crops. -
Fox Talbot introduces photographic paper.
Photographic paper is basically like printer paper. It was invented by Fox Talbot, he was born on the 11 February 1800 and died 17 September 1877. -
Alfred Nobel creates dynamite.
Alfred Nobel invented the dynamite, which is a safer way to blast holes in mountains or the ground. Dynamite was important in clearing paths to build things such as roads and railroad tracks. -
Alexander Graham Bell patents the telephone.
Alexander Graham Bell didn't first invented the telephone but he was the first person to patent the telephone. Being able to speak to people over a telephone changed the world's communications. -

The microphone was invented by David Edward Hughes and then later improved by Thomas Alva Edison, who was a Famous American inventor. -
The Brooklyn Bridge opens
After 13 years of construction, the Brooklyn Bridge is finished in New York City. At the time, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world. -
Eiffel Tower.
The Eiffel tower was designed by Gustave Eiffel. Gustave last name was made as the actual towers name "Eiffel Tower". Eiffel was born on the 15 December 1832 and died on the 27 December 1923. The Eiffel Tower is 324 meters tall and if you’re unsure on how tall that is the Eureka Sky deck is 297 m. -
First Zeppelin built.
The Zeppelin's ideas and plans were first made in 1874 and developed in detail in 1893. They were patented in Germany in 1895 and in the United States in 1899. Zeppelins were first flown publicly in 1910 by DELAG, the world's first airline. By mid-1914, DELAG had carried over 34,000 passengers on over 1,500 flights. -
Wright brothers make first powered flight.
The Wright brothers was Orville. He was born on the 19th of August, 1871 and died on the 30th of January, 1948 and Wilbur was born on the 16th of April, 1867 and died on the 30th of May, 1912. The both where American and both brilliant Inventors. At 10:35 a.m. on December 17, 1903, Orville Wright flew the plane for 12 seconds and just over 360m in the air. This flight was taken place on Kill Devil Hill just outside of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. -
Henry Ford mass-produces the Model T.
Henry Ford creates a car called the Model T. It is much cheaper than other cars because it is made on an assembly line, allowing many more people to buy cars. Henry Ford created the idea of having a assembly line. Assembly line works by each station does something differently on the car, for example the first station could be making the bottom base of the car and the last station is putting the tires on. -
Titanic
The titanic was a famous ship because it was so big and could carry so many people. People thought the Titanic couldn't sink because of the technology progress.
