The civilization has almost been obliterated by an unknown apocalyptic event. The former North-America is now called Panem. -
District 13
DISTRICT 13
District 13 were the district who had a nuclear industry where they produced the Nation's (Panem, the Capitol's) nukes, guns and landmines. -
The Punishment
THE PUNISHMENT
Panem consists of the wealthy Capitol, surrounded by thirteen poor districts. But as a punishment, district thirteen was destroyed entirely after the rebellion against the Capitol. The Capitol is now surrounded by twelve districts. -
The first winner from District 12
Haymitch Abernathy was the first winner from District 12. He won the so called second Quater Quell. The first Quater Quell was to celebrate 25 years of The Hunger Games, Haymitch won the second one, The Games' 50th anniversary. Haymitch is now Katniss' and Peeta's drunk mentor. -
Katniss' birth
Katniss Everdeen were born May 8th 2158 in The Seam, also known as District 12. Katniss were Mr. and Mrs. Everdeen's first of two born. Mr. Everdeen sadly died in a mining accident right after their second daughter were born, Primrose Everdeen. -
The Reaping
THE LOTTERY
A boy and a girl between 12 and 18 are chosen randomly from a glass bowl filled with their names written on paper notes. The chosen ones are called tributes. -
The Preperations
THE EXERCISES OF SURVIVAL
After arriving the Capitol, the tributes have 4 days to train and prepare for the games. Judges will evaluate them during the training and give them sponsors. -
The Chosen Ones
THE CHOSEN ONES
In district twelve, one of the side characters, Peeta Mellark are chosen, while the main character Katniss Everdeen volunteer in defense for her sister, Primrose Everdeen. -
President Coriolanus Snow
President Snow is the ruler of the Capitol and all of Panem. The second day of the reaping, he welcomes the audience and tribiutes the the annual 74th Hunger Games. -
The Master of Ceremonies
THE COMMENTATOR
Caesar Flickerman has been the Master of Ceremonies ever since the second quater quell, 50th Hunger Games. He is often known to wear a different color of hair and suit every Hunger Games. He is also a very open and emotional character. -
Let the Games Begin!
LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
The first couple of days in the arena is a pure slaughter house. People kill eachother like maniacs, and group up afterwards to kill the weaker once. -
And The Winners Are...
AND THE WINNERS ARE ...
After many 18 long days of fighting for survival, Katniss and Peeta from district 12 manage to kill the remaining once and win the game, once and for all.
