The Nuremberg Laws took all civil rights from Jewish people and separated them from German citizens legally, socially, and politically. They were considered a separate race which was considered by ancestry. -
WWII Begins
Hitler invade Poland, which officially started WWII. -
The Ghettos
Jews 10 years old or more had to wear the Star of David to mark themselves as Jewish. This made it easier to to identify them when the Nazis began sending them to Ghettos, small towns filled with Jews. They were filthy & overcrowded. Gassing Vans
These were vans that were used to asphyxiate Jews with carbon monoxide. They were used until they could complete the first death camp, which was called Chelmno. -
Death Camps
Hitler's plan to exterminate the Jewish population (Jewish genocide) went into full swing. Several camps, including Auschwitz began operating as death camps. Jewish people were killed when they arrived. -

Resistance
Some Jewish and and Partisan groups resisted the Nazis. Some Jewish were able to escape, some falsified documents, and of course there were Germans who broke the law and helped them. This was extremely dangerous to all parties involved. Helping Jewish people resulted in immediate death. Revolts
In the spring and summer of 1943 prisoners started to attempt revolts in the Ghettos and Camps. Few survived escape and those remaining in the dwellings were killed.
