    THis event was held in France and 38 countrys were at this event. This conference was held to discuss the growing numbers ofJewish refugees.   • The Kristallnacht night of broken glass

    The Kristallnacht night of broken glass
    Nazi thugs throughout Germany and Australia destroyed Jewish stores, houses, and synagouges. They almost destroyed every synagouge in Germany. Then the Nazis fined Jews to make them pay for the damages of the Kristallnacht. Germany's remaining jews left the country after this event. alex mchlich
  • Wannsee Conference

    Wannsee Conference
    This occurred outside of Berlin to agree on a new approach. They developed a plan to achieve what one Nazi leader called the “final solution to the Jewish question.” This plan would lead to the construction of special camps in Poland where genocide, was to be carried out against Europe’s Jewish population.   • The War Refugee Board ( WRB)

    The War Refugee Board ( WRB)
    Even though the State objected, President Roosevelt created the War Refugee Board in January of 1944. Their goal was to help those threatened by the Nazis. The board also gave funding to Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg so he could get Hungarian Jews a Swedish passport. In addition, 1,000 refugees were brought to an army camp in Oswego, New York.

  • Nuremberg Trial

    Nuremberg Trial
    Angry and horrified by Germany’s death camps, the Allies placed a number of former Nazi leaders on trial. They charged them with crimes against peace, crimes against humanity, and war crimes. Great Britain, the Soviet Union, and France conducted this event. Of the 24 Nazi defendants, 12 received the death sentence. The trials established the importance that individuals must be held responsible for their own actions. The Nazis fought back saying they were only “following orders.” Jenna W
