The History of Telecommunications

  • 1700s: Invention of the Telescope

Although the first telescope was invented in the 1600s, the invention of the telescope had a astronomical impact in the 1700s.
  • 1800s: Electric Telegraph (Morse Code)

Samuel B. Morse had been working on recording telegraphs with a group of friends. They discovered a way of communicating with each other by holding and realising buttons in a series of intervals. This later became known as the Morse Code.
  • 1900s: Television

The first working television was history made by Phillip T. Farnsworth. By encoding radio waves and transmitting images then projecting them to the screen, the first television was made.
  • 2000s: First Apple iPhone Released

Apple released it's first iPhone and announced that the iPhone would support third-party applications using the safari engine.
  • 2010s: Sophia, First Artificial Intelligence Robot

The appearance of Sophia amazed a lot of people and was a very popular invention. The robot was activated in February by Honk Kong based company Hanson Robotics. The robot can display more than 60 facial expressions. It is also the first robot declared a citizen in Saudi Arabia.
  • 2500s: Virtual Reality

I believe 500 years from now almost every family will own technology and the world will be based in virtual reality. To pay your fees to the bank, you sign into your account, put on a virtual reality set and "go to the bank" using the technology. There will be 3D diagrams for high class families and there will be new ways or learning things by putting on a virtual reality set: gloves, special goggles and a costume. You then "go to school" using technology and learn.
  • 3000s: Robots take over

I believe that a 1000 years from now robots will be in every country working as doctors, teachers, selling things, cooking and much more. There are a lot of dangers that have to do with artificial intelligence but a 1000 years from now most of us probably won't even be alive.
