  • PARC V. COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA

    PARC V. COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA
    This case ruled the state must provide free public education for children with mental retardation. Pennsylvania was responsible for providing free public education to all children; that meant that no child, regardless of their disability, could be turned down by the Commonwealth to the access of free public training and educational programs. Students with disabilities must receive the same education as general students.
