Laurel Sanford Found LaLaLand Island
English explorer Prince Laurel Sanford found the island and settled. He named the island LaLaLand Island after his daughter Laurie who was nick named LaLa. It is said also said to be named after her because the island with its warm climate and sandy beaches reminded the prince of his daughter's beauty. -

Controlling War
The English settlers went to war with the natives who have lived at LaLaLand long before the english settlers found it. They went to war over Island controll. In 1707 a treaty was reached with the natives. It allowed the Eglish explorers to controll most of the island, leaving the natives a small reservation. The English then set up a government. -
Blake Dimond Lake
The Black Diamond Lake was named after the largest black diamond which was mined near the lake. Black diamond mining countinues to be a primary economic force to this day. This industry attracted many people to the island helping to grow the overall economy of LaLaLand Island. It also helped establishe the tourism indrusty. -
Title Wave
A large title wave hit the island destroying many buildings, damaging hotels, and flooding many parts of the island it took years to rebuild. -
Today
Fishing, Tourism, and minimg of black diamonds are main industies.
