    The British

    The British first arrived in 1947 looking for land to control the world, spice, tea, sugar, and basically trying to find things to sell. The British at the time was a mercantilism

    The Exploration of the French

    The French came to America for gold but had trouble finding it. At the time in France, fur was very popular and could be sold for a lot of money. The found many pelts in America and were satisfied. They set up trading posts.

    The Exploration of the Spanish

    The Spansih arrived first looking to spread their religon of Roman Catholism to the Natives. They also wanted to find gold to sail. Hernado DeSoto lead this exploration with 600 armored men with armored horses and attack dogs. They sailed from Havanah to Tampa Bay looking for gold but then found natives which Hernado attacked and won. He put them under his control and won mostly by small pox.

    Missions

    The Conquistadors once lead by DeSoto continue to sail around the barrier islands to spread their religon of Roman Catholism. They set up missions which were churches althroughtout the barrier islands.

    Georgia charter was signed allowing Oglethorpe to establsih the colony of Georgia
