    The 100th anniversary of the Ten Boom watch shop is held.
  • Those Darn Nazis!

    The Nazis invade Holland, beginning May 10th. Occupation last 5 whole years.
  • A Little Help...

    Corrie gets help from Willem and Kik Ten Boom to find a safe house for two of their two good Jewish friends.
  • An Important Choice

    Early spring, Corrie decides she must help the Jewish people. She becomes involved in an "Underground Railroad" situation.
  • So Many Jews!

    During this time, many Jewish people pass through the Ten Boom home, but most relocate quickly.
  • Jew in Hiding

    Nollie is arrested for being caught hiding a Jew. All in hiding leave Beje, (the Ten Boom residence) for other safe house.
  • Running Away (Again!)

    All in hiding leave once more due to Gestapo worries.
  • THE CLIMAX

    About 11 pm, Casper, Corrie, Betsie, Williem Ten Boom, Nollie, and Peter Van Woorden are taken to the Harleem jail along with about 30 others. Six people remain in hiding while Nazis guard the house.
  • Taken to Scheveningen

    The six family members are taken to Scheveningen prison near Den Haag.
  • Rescued

    Over appox. 40 hours, all six in hiding are rescued at about 4:30 pm.

    Corrie and Betsie begin their nightmare train ride from Vught to Ravensbruck concentration camp. 3 days and 3 nights jammed into one boxcar.
  • Offically Registered

    Coorie and Betsie are officially registered prisoners of Ravensbruck.
  • Another Youthful Death

    Betsie dies in Ravensbruck at age 54.
  • Finally Free?

    After learning she is to be released, Corrie is put in Ravensbruck hospital due to edema. (Edema is swelling caused by excess fluid trapped in your body's tissues.)
  • Finally Free!

    (possibly could also be on the 28th, both dates appear on discharge) Corrie is finally released from Ravensbruck concentration camp and is now a free citzen.
