Lindbergh baby kidnapped
Charles Lindbergh's baby, Charles Augustus Linbergh Jr. was kidnapped. The baby was found dead a few months later. The man arrested and executed for the crime, Bruno Richard Hauptmann, proclaimed his innocence to the end. -

The Hoover Dam was henaded over to the U.S. Government, two years ahead of schedule. More than 3,000 workers contributed to its contruction, with very few fatalities. -
