A mob of armed citizens trying to defend their city and end up at the Bastille prison, after arriving they demanded the gaurds to give them all the weapons inside. Once the guards refused the citizens storm the prison and which then falls. -
Women's March Upon Versailles
A group of Partisan women march to Versailles to force the royal family back to Paris. -
Adoption of Civil Constitution of the Clergy
This split the Roman Catholic Church from the French government.The Church would no longer be able to appoint church officers, but this power was now given to the National Assembly. -
End of Monarchy
The National Convention abolishes the monatchy. By doing so they establish a republic and begin thinking of a new consititution. -
Louis XVI is Executed
The National Convention ruled Louis XVI as a traitor of France. France's former king is sent to the guillotine and is executed. -
The Reign of Terror
The Reign of Terror begins when Terror is declared "the order of the day" by Maximilien de Robespierre. This was made in order to fight against those who were against the Revolution. They will execute anyone who wants the king to stay in power...will claim approx. 18,500-40,000 lives by the end. -
Napoleon's Coup d'etat
Napoleon became the consulate of France using the Coup d'etat while the French government was at it's weakest.. A Coup d'etat is a sudden overthrow of an exisisting government, by a group of conspirators. -
Exiled to Elba
Failing to take control of Russia, Napoleon was left but no choice to surrender to Russian armies. He was then exiled to Elba, so Napoleon would cause no more trouble -
The Imprisonment of Edmond Dantes
Nineteen year-old Edmond Dantes is imprisoned on the very day of his betrothal. He is arrested and put in prison because of being believed to be a conspirator. -
Hundred Days
Starting on March 20, 1815, were the Hundred Days in which Napoleon spent on his exile to Elba whilist Louis XVIII took power of France. -
Battle of Waterloo
Once Napoleon escaped Elba he took control of the army going to kill him and tried to regain his power in a battle in Waterloo. Other European forces/armies knew of this plan and managed to overpower and beat him. -
Edmond Dantes Escapes Prison
Edmond Dantes escapes prison after being imprisoned for 14 years. He then seeks to find the treasure of the Isle of Monte Cristo. -
Becoming the Count of Monte Cristo
Edmond goes to the Isle of Monte Cristo and discover the treasure which he heard so much about from Faria. With the riches he then becomes a Count and seeks revenge from those who betrayed him. -
The Count Finds His "Friends"
The Count of Monte Cristo finds where his old friends live and begins to get close to them in order to get revenge. -
The First Death
Caderousse is killed by Benedetto for failing to successfully rob the Count's house. The Count then says that one of his betrayers is gone. -
Death by Suicide
After having his past exposed by Danglars, Fernand de Morcef commits suicide due to humiliation. Yet another enemy of the Count defeated. -
Changing Perspective
The Count realizes the damage he's done from trying to get revenge. After little Edouard and Heloise die, he changes his perspective on all the revenge, and even spares Danglars life. -
Banker Goes Bankrupt
Danglars goes bankrupt after a series unwise decisions in his business. Since he is broke he decides to get out of town and run away to try and have a different life. -
Poison in the Villefort House
After poison killing 3 memebers of the Villefort home, Heloise poisons herself and her son and die. These deaths make Villefort traumatized and crazy, but is not the only one effected. -
Clearing of a Conscience
Since seeing the terrible thiings he's done, the Count helps Mercedes with her new life,Maximilien and Valentine be happy, and Haydee have her own life. Everything is settled with the people who the Count cares about and all is well
