France's economy was falling and declined. This caused people such as merchants, factory owners and bankers of the third estate. This also caused crop failures and a really low amount of grain. This later on lead to starvation of many people. -

First meeting in 175 years. It was called by the second-estate in order to impose taxes on nobility because there was no money left. -
June 17, 1789
People voted to form the National Assembly. This caused absolute monarchy to collapse and now the beginning of the representative government. -
June 20, 1789
People broke into a tennis court because the third-estate was locked out of the meeting. They said they wouldn't leave until they had a new constitution. (Tennis Court Oath) -
July 14, 1789
People started to gather multiple weapons to defend themselves against their own government. This is when the storming of Bastille happened. Guards died and they hacked their way in. -
August 26, 1789
Here is where the Declaration of the rights of Man was developed. It was influenced by Thomas Jefferson, and stressed how the rights of men should be followed everywhere. -
Oct 1, 1789
A lot of Parisian women marched through Versailles and attacked the castle. At the end of the day, they made Paris be ruled by kings again. -
Sep 13, 1791
The Constitution was written in France, it was written after the collapse of the Absoloute Monarchy of the Ancien Regime. -
August 10, 1792
The Insurrection, here is where the French Monarchy fell after the storming of the Tuileries Palace by the National Guard. -
Jan 21, 1793
Here is the Execution of King Louis XVI. After the Insurrection in August, Louis was arrested in the Temple Prison with his family.
