What caused the revolution was debt , the taxation , the enlightenment ideas ,and the bankruptcy of the king .(Google) -
The meeting
The argued over wether they should vote by estate , giving the first two estates and advantage . Or kings choice or vote all together giving the third estate the advantage . When the third estate formed a National Assembly they got the first and second to join against the king . Which was an out break on the revolution .

Results of French Revolution
Feudalism was abolished . Nobles. , clergy , towns , and cities lost their privileges . The declaration of the rights of men was published . They wanted to abolish feudalism and taxes , old rules . On august 4 1789 the National Assembly abolishes the feudal system.

Gives rights so everyone can have equal opportunity , freedom of speech , popular sovereignty and representative government.
Men are born and remain free and equal rights . There are 17 laws for this .

The Bread March
Many women traveled 12 miles from Paris to Versaillies with weapons . Such as Broomsticks, pitch forks, swords, pistols, and muskets . The women wanted and needed food and for King Louise 16 to sign the D.R.M . The women broke through the gates and killed most gaurds then King Louis and his wife were captured and forced to sign the D.R.M . The women got what they wanted . The Great Escape
This was 2 years after the revolution began . The National Assembly kept forcing King Louis 16 to sign the new laws they wanted , that just took more and more power away from the king .
The king and hus family left and was heading for Austria . With there long journey the family finally reached the border of Austria and got caputured and was brought back .(world history.com,notes) -
Attack on the Tuileries Palace
20,000 people attacked the palace . The kind and queen escaped the palace . The revolution was becoming a bigger deal .
The assembly arrested the royal family . Royalist were executed which was called the September Massacre .

Execution of the king

Reign of Terror
Between September 1793 and July 1794 about 16,000 people were guillotined. Maximilian Robespierre is the leader of this. He just wanted to protect the virtue of the nation . They arrested Robespierre was arrested , and guillotined on the same day.

Death of Marie Antoinette
She has been vilified as the evil of monarchy and exalted as a pinnacle of fashion and beauty .She was convicted of theft and a sexual abuse charge against her son . She was guilty . Soon on October 16,1793 she was executed .

The new government was the Directory consisting 5 council members. This became a problem. They needed someone to help with the problems. Napoleon established the consulate as the first consul .

Battle of Waterloo
There were 23,000 British troops against 74,000 French troops .The war finally came to an end with the surrender of Napoleon.
They didn't begin to fight until the ground was dried up so there guns could manoeuvre without sticking in the mud. The attack began at 11:00 am. (The battle of Waterloo 18th June 1815 - British battle, google). -
Rise of Louis Napoleon
Napoleon was a emperor And a military leader .He was born April 20 , 1808 . After the revolution he was elected president of the second republic .He stayed that for 2 years then became emperor .
