    Meeting of Estates General

    The Meeting of Estates General was a tactic used by France in time of need or problem. It was a large meeting with the three "estates" (1) Clergy (2) Nobility (3) Commonners. This started back in 1302 and lasted to 1789 when the 3rd estate revolted against the higher social classes. This was thought to be the beginning of the French Revolution.

    Storming of the Bastille
    Storming of the Bastille was when a large mob had attacked a state prison on the east side of Paris called Bastille. The prison was a symbol of the monarchy’s dictatorial rule. It was violent battle turned into the mob taking control of the building. This became a huge part of the French revolution symbolically the beginning.

He had a national assembly with the 3 "estates" Things went downhill from their for Louis and his wife. The lowest estate turned to revolt against them. After many problems and even trying to ditch their own leadership Louis was arrested by the sans-culottes and imprisoned. Then later found guilty of counterrevolutionary intrigues with Austria and sent to the queen to be executed

    It was September 5th when it started as Robespierre declared that terror would be the "order of the day" France was ruled by a group called the Committee of Public Safety. The "Reign of Terror" was the most bloodiest time of the French Revolution. This time was most infamous for the many executions that happened including many large figures like the king and queen In all over 16,000 were executed and over 10,000 died in prison.This all ended at the death of Robespierre in July 1754

    Robespierre was huge popular figure of the Revolution for the French. He became popular for his attacks on the monarchy and his advocacy of democratic reforms. In 1790 he was elected the Jacobin political club. In 1792, Robespierre was elected first deputy for Paris to the National Convention. He declared the "Reign of Terror" followed by the bloodiest parts of the revolution. Then is execution happened at the end of it with his other 21 biggest supporters at the guillotine on July 27.
