Storming of the Bastille (french people searching for weapons stormed the Bastille to defend the city against attack) . This helped create a spark in the Revolution and brought all the citizens together. -

National Assembly (passed laws and reforms in the name of French People) was created. They represented the third estate. -

More members joined NA, took away privileges of first and second estates; old regime was dead. -
Parisian Women Strike
Thousands of Parisian women rioted over rising price of bread; stormed Versailles, killed the guards, and demanded for king and queen to return to Paris. -
Louis XVI death
Louis attempts to escape; seen as treason and was executed. This sparked the end of a monarchy. -

Napoleon crowns himself emperor. People must listen to him and he expands France while continuing to attempt to strengthen it. -
