    Estates General Called
    The Estates General was called by King Louis XVI on May 5th 1789. King Louis was never meant to be in line for the throne, and that meant he had no idea how to run a country when he became king. France was on a downfall financially and economically and that resulted in the Estates General being called for the first time in 175 years.

    Estates General Called
    The King asked the Estates General what he should do and that they should decided on how to run things. They held a government organization at Versailles where every estate had one vote pre estate and the 3rd estate wanted a better representation but 1st and 2nd estate vote against all changes.

    National Assembly Formed
    The formation of the national Assembly was on June 17th 1789. The assembly was sworn by the members of the national Assembly(3rd estate,some 2nd, 1st) that they would not stop meeting until they got what they wanted and what they wanted was economic change and equality. The 3rd Estate wanted the economic change because they were taxed for literally almost everything while the 1st estate wasn't because they were at the top of the hierarchy and had all the say.

    The Tennis Court Oath played a part in forming a national assembly. The 3rd Estate made the decision to keep going to the same court everyday at the same time everyday because they wanted to continue meeting until they had a change and soon the king agreed. This is an important event because without this oath they wouldn't have had a "change".

    The Storming of the Bastille
    The fall of the Bastille in Paris was the spark of the revolution because the king threw people into prison if they disobeyed him and the peasants got mad. They stormed the prison and storming the prison symbolized the power of the king by him being able to throw whoever into the prison and this is important because the people do not like the king and so they stormed the prison.

    This is happened because the people were upset with how expensive bread was and wanted change. Without this event happening the king wouldn't have came back to living in paris and saw all the problems they were having.

    Women's march on versailles
    The women's march on Versailles was a crowd of 7,000 angry women and they decided to march all the way to kings palace and confront him, as they protested all the way there the crowd grew. They demanded an audience with the king and the crowd was killing several royal members. The king soon came out and agreed to come back to paris with them to remove the separation.

    The absolute monarchy was turned into a constitutional monarchy and the king shared his power with the national assembly and the government formation changed overtime on multiple occasions which resulted in moving further and further away from the king. This was important because the 3rd Estate got what they wanted.

    Mob Overthrows the Constitutional Monarchy
    On September 1792, the mobbed that was formed were people from Paris and they played a big part in overthrowing the constitutional monarchy. they imprisoned the king after France proclaimed war on Austria, the war deteriorated and King Louis XVI was accused of treason. this event lead up to the beheading of Marie Antoinette and king Louis XVI in 1793.

    King Louis XVI & Marie Antoinette Behaded
    This event marked the death of the class systems. When The French Revolution started Marie Antoinette lost the title of being France’s queen. King Louis was executed and beheaded for crimes against France, shorty Antoinette was given an execution as well. The Ancien Regime was no longer accounted for meaning there was no more 1st class, 2nd class and 3rd class.

    The Reign of Terror was a brutal killing of a large amount of people. It was a response to Revolutionary Fervour and accusations of treason. the people that were living in France at this point in time had to be cautious with what they said to anybody because if they were betraying France in any way people would get upset and you’d get beheaded.

    Reign of Terror Ends
    The ending of The Reign of Terror started when Maximillian Robespierre eventually was executed. This caused the French Revolution to come to an end, For France to gradually go back to “normal” and Charles later took over the throne.
