  • Reason to call a meeting

    France was in bankruptcy and had some political problems and finally King Louis XVI and it had been a long time since there was a meeting. Members of the estates elected representatives.

    Each estate had one vote. The First and Second estate will not ever let the third estate have its way. The Third Estate demanded that voting be done by population.
  • Representatives from the 3 estates meet a Versailles

    The first estate with those who had the most power and noble. The second estate were those who were just nobles. The third estate were the commoners and everybody else
  • The Third Estate decides they go to a court

    The third estate decide to go to a tennis court to make a written constitution for France.
  • Louis XVI calls for National Assembly to make a constitution

    Louis call a them to make a constitution.
  • Louis XVI locks the Third Estate out of the meeting

    Louis XVI locks out the third estate because he knew that they would have more power than the government for asking.
  • People get angry at Louis XVI

    When they heard that they may use weapons against the National Assembly, people stormed the bastille and took their weapons.
  • Louis XVI is arrested

    He is arrested by some women who wanted the blood of the queen. They forced the family to go to Paris.
  • Changes with the National Assembly

    With the family being in the palm of their hand in Paris. They can do what they need to do to make the country better.
  • The Death of Louis XVI

    After pressure so much and the people disliking him they got the guillotine and lost his power with his head off.
